Fall Fun

In the past fewe weeks  we have been very busy ...Chris turned 35 on October 2nd and Kallie turned 3 on October 31st.  We had a very low key party at Chuck E Cheese this year with just family.  I told the kids they could each pick a friend and so our closest friends the Vannaman's joined in on the fun.  Here are some fun pictures from the night.

We also had a fabulous girls weekend and my grandma came up and we went crafting.  I was so excited to spend some quality time with my three of my favorites.  Love the pic below.

This past weekend we went to my grandmas for a funeral and some house work she needed done.  I did not get many pictures but my favorite was my granny singing Kallie to sleep like she used to do when I was little.  I love, love, love this picture.

When we got home Sunday we spent some time out in the yard and little miss sassy was cheesing it up..

Here is the two kiddos on Halloween this year...dancer and a pirate.  Love them so very much.

We have weeks of fun ahead and I plan on trying to blog more about LIFE as crazy as it is these days.

Have a fabulous Tuesday everyone!

New Outlook

The last few months have been very busy for us and also very challenging too.   As the summer came to an end Gunner got to go spend almost two weeks with my grandparents.  Some of my fondest memories as a child is spending weeks with my grandparents and now my children get to see just how wonderful their great grandparents are and get to get spoiled rotten in the process.  Gunner was gone for 10 days and while it was nice to spend some quality time with Kallie we really missed him.  He however could have stayed longer and never came home because he was having so much fun.
The week after he came home was what I call the PARTY week.  My sister, my brother, and myself had been planning a 30th wedding anniversary party for my parents.  They knew of the party and told us who to invite but that was all they got to know and we handled the rest.  It was stressful, fun, amazing, and something I am so glad we got to do for them.  I have the most amazing parents in the world and a relationship that most kids never get to experience.  We are all very close and spend A LOT of our time together and I would not change a thing.  My wonderful friend Kelsy came and took pictures for us and I will share a few with all of you
Love my beautiful momma

My dad finally asking my mom to marry him---he never ask before they just kind of decided to do it

After the party week we were hoping things would slow down but no that was not the case at all.  Chris started having problems with his right foot and what we thought was a spider bite turned into a HORRIBLE staff infections called MRSA...the worse kind to get.  Long story short he was in the hospital for 5 LONG days and was off work for 3 weeks and is still recovering.  My husband has never had anything other than a cold in his life so this was challenging and hard to see him in so much pain and not himself.  It was even harder to see my kids so upset and not being able to explain everything to them.  I will spare you the pics of his foot but just know we are so glad he is back to normal.  I must say to we have the most AMAZING group of friends around us.  I had daily text, calls, visitors at the hospital checking on us.  My wonderful best friend organzied food brought to the hospital while we were there and a weeks worth of food brought to us the week we came home.  I was about to fall apart but several people stepped up and helped us with the kids, support, prayer, food, and so much more that I can not even explain.  So thanks so much Kelsy Vannaman, Ashley Linam, and Jamie Decker for all you did as you read this know just how much I LOVE YOU ALL and APPRECIATE you!  It means more than you ever know.

Now on to some fun stuff----THE HOGS!!!  Check out my adorable kids sporting their hog wear last weekend before watching the game with some great friends.

Love to you all

Exciting times

We have been very busy around here since my last post.  I will sum most of it up in pictures and short descriptions... May was very busy from Mother's Day to Dedication of the kids at church, my best friend Kelsy's birthday extravaganza,  my sister and my nephew graduated High School, Graduation party, then our 10 year anniversary.  Here are some pics of all that has been going on.

Then Chris and I snuck away for two night and we went to Tulsa for our 10 year anniversary.  Originally we had planned to go to Vegas but there was so much going on in May and with the storms and other stuff that we decided to stay close this year and do something big next year.  It was a nice little break to get away and I am so blessed to have spend the last ten years with this amazing man and I look forward to the next 10.

On May 22, 2011 one of my bestest friends hometown of Joplin was hit by  an F5 tornado.  We decided to go up the week after and help with some clean up.  Let me just say this was a very eye-opening day and very humbling day.  One that I will never forget and I wish we could do so much more for them.  Thanks Kelsy and Seth for including us in this experience.

Then came June and it was my 29th birthday...my best friend Kelsy hosted a fabulous girls dinner and then a spontaneous fun night out.  I am so blessed to have her and she knows just how much I adore her.  Thanks again Kelsy for all you did.  I had the best time!!

It is now the third week in June, the kids have been home two weeks from school and we are having a blast. Baseball has come to an end. Gunner attended VBS and was baptized this past week and we also celebrated his 8th birthday party.  I cannot believe my baby boy will be 8 this week.  My how time has flown and he is growing into an amazing little man.
Kallie finally decided to pierce her ears and they are so stinkin cute...now if we could just get the potty training down.  We had an amazing Father's Day at my parents yesterday with swimming and food.  A much needed break from the last week's packed schedule.
I hope everyone is enjoying the start to their summer as much as we are.

Love to you all,
Anna
