New Outlook

The last few months have been very busy for us and also very challenging too.   As the summer came to an end Gunner got to go spend almost two weeks with my grandparents.  Some of my fondest memories as a child is spending weeks with my grandparents and now my children get to see just how wonderful their great grandparents are and get to get spoiled rotten in the process.  Gunner was gone for 10 days and while it was nice to spend some quality time with Kallie we really missed him.  He however could have stayed longer and never came home because he was having so much fun.
The week after he came home was what I call the PARTY week.  My sister, my brother, and myself had been planning a 30th wedding anniversary party for my parents.  They knew of the party and told us who to invite but that was all they got to know and we handled the rest.  It was stressful, fun, amazing, and something I am so glad we got to do for them.  I have the most amazing parents in the world and a relationship that most kids never get to experience.  We are all very close and spend A LOT of our time together and I would not change a thing.  My wonderful friend Kelsy came and took pictures for us and I will share a few with all of you

After the party week we were hoping things would slow down but no that was not the case at all.  Chris started having problems with his right foot and what we thought was a spider bite turned into a HORRIBLE staff infections called MRSA...the worse kind to get.  Long story short he was in the hospital for 5 LONG days and was off work for 3 weeks and is still recovering.  My husband has never had anything other than a cold in his life so this was challenging and hard to see him in so much pain and not himself.  It was even harder to see my kids so upset and not being able to explain everything to them.  I will spare you the pics of his foot but just know we are so glad he is back to normal.  I must say to we have the most AMAZING group of friends around us.  I had daily text, calls, visitors at the hospital checking on us.  My wonderful best friend organzied food brought to the hospital while we were there and a weeks worth of food brought to us the week we came home.  I was about to fall apart but several people stepped up and helped us with the kids, support, prayer, food, and so much more that I can not even explain.  So thanks so much Kelsy Vannaman, Ashley Linam, and Jamie Decker for all you did as you read this know just how much I LOVE YOU ALL and APPRECIATE you!  It means more than you ever know.

Now on to some fun stuff----THE HOGS!!!  Check out my adorable kids sporting their hog wear last weekend before watching the game with some great friends.

Love to you all
