Exciting times

We have been very busy around here since my last post.  I will sum most of it up in pictures and short descriptions... May was very busy from Mother's Day to Dedication of the kids at church, my best friend Kelsy's birthday extravaganza,  my sister and my nephew graduated High School, Graduation party, then our 10 year anniversary.  Here are some pics of all that has been going on.

Then Chris and I snuck away for two night and we went to Tulsa for our 10 year anniversary.  Originally we had planned to go to Vegas but there was so much going on in May and with the storms and other stuff that we decided to stay close this year and do something big next year.  It was a nice little break to get away and I am so blessed to have spend the last ten years with this amazing man and I look forward to the next 10.

On May 22, 2011 one of my bestest friends hometown of Joplin was hit by  an F5 tornado.  We decided to go up the week after and help with some clean up.  Let me just say this was a very eye-opening day and very humbling day.  One that I will never forget and I wish we could do so much more for them.  Thanks Kelsy and Seth for including us in this experience.

Then came June and it was my 29th birthday...my best friend Kelsy hosted a fabulous girls dinner and then a spontaneous fun night out.  I am so blessed to have her and she knows just how much I adore her.  Thanks again Kelsy for all you did.  I had the best time!!

It is now the third week in June, the kids have been home two weeks from school and we are having a blast. Baseball has come to an end. Gunner attended VBS and was baptized this past week and we also celebrated his 8th birthday party.  I cannot believe my baby boy will be 8 this week.  My how time has flown and he is growing into an amazing little man.
Kallie finally decided to pierce her ears and they are so stinkin cute...now if we could just get the potty training down.  We had an amazing Father's Day at my parents yesterday with swimming and food.  A much needed break from the last week's packed schedule.
I hope everyone is enjoying the start to their summer as much as we are.

Love to you all,
Anna

This and That

We have been very busy lately...first I have to brag on my wonderful, amazing, and talented husband.  He has not been feeling good for about 2 months now however he knew how important it was for me to have by backyard redone before I host a graduation party here in a month.  Here is the "before" picture...

And the after....he did such an amazing job.  Yes I helped him but he was the mastermind behind all this hard work.  I love it and we cannot wait to enjoy it this spring and summer.

In the middle of this process I also revamped my pottery that goes in back.  I am really into reds right now and I must say I love how these turned out.
Also in the middle of that weekend my best friend Kelsy took my sister and my newphew's senior pictures.  She did such an amazing job and I am so blessed to have her in my life.  Thanks so much Kelsy for these amazing pics.  I am only going to share a few.

Here is what happens after pictures for 3 hours...

Next we had our first baseball game this past Saturday and I was so proud of Gunner.  He played first and catcher and did awesome!

After the game with had family game night with our great friends the Vannaman's.  We had so much fun eating, playing cards, talking about their new boat, and letting the kids play.  We are so blessed to have them in our lives.  Love you guys.

Hope everyone has a great Easter...

Love to you all

Anna

Still here...just busy

I keep saying I am going to find the time to blog....well I have not done that yet.  It has been two months since I updated and a few things have been going on..
Update on my brother in law....Michael goes back to the DR next week to find out if the meds are working.  If they are then GREAT but if they are not then we have to find a way to have the surgery to by him some time.  They wanted to try the meds first because he does not have insurance and we cannot find a DR to do the procedure.  If neither the meds are working or the surgery does not happen then he has about a year...if the meds are working or we can get the surgery now then we have about 3 years or less.  We just take this one day at a time and I trust GOD has a plan for all of us regarding this.
Update on my daddy....he has lost 40 pounds since January due to his diabetes and the DR was very pleased with him on that.  His levels are staying normal and that is great.  He has been having some other issues and we are doing some more testing.  I won't go into detail but please say a prayer for him.
Gunner started baseball last week and we are very excited to get this season going even if we spend 3-5 days a week at the ballfields.  He is doing much better in school and I could not be prouder of him right now.  Chris just took Gunner on a 3 days camping and fourwheeling adventure and they had a blast plus met some great people.  This is going to be there annual trip between father and son.
While they were gone I worked and then Friday Kallie, me , my mom, and my sister went to Greenwood to see my grandma and spent the night with her.  We got up on Saturday and spent the day shopping and eating lunch out.  We had such a great day that I hated to come home but I was excited to see Chris and Gunner.  When we went shopping we went to these two little shops in Booneville AR that are very trendy and we got lots of goodies.  I cannot wait to go back there again.  I like little towns that have trendy little shops and people actually know you.  We ran into a lady that used to work with my dad over 20 years ago when he was an assistant manager at the WM in Booneville right before my brother was born.  I did not get any pictures this weekend as I forgot my camera AGAIN.
Chris and I are now starting on some house projects and I will be doing several posts on my little handy man and his great work he does for our house.  I am excited to get some of these projects underway and completed before the BIG graduation party I am hosting my sister and newphew in May.
On the list....a deck for our backyard, a Pergula over our deck, painting the inside of the house, new backsplash for the kitchen, multiple flower bed makeovers, and many more.  Yes we are crazy but we love sprucing up things and since we have been here for almost 3 years it's time for some major updates.  Happy Spring

With love,

Anna
